Setsubun Festival
This is a festival held at Akagi shrine on February 3, every year. This is a Japanese event where many beans and snacks are thrown to ward off evil and wishing for sound health. [Only 3 minutes from our guesthouse] -
Hina Festival
“Hina Festival”, a Japanese event to pray for the healthy growth of girls. At Numata-city Tone Tourist Hall, every February to March, many Hina dolls are displayed. [Only 1 minutes from our guesthouse] -
Serpent Festival
A “Serpent Festival” is held to express gratitude to the “Snake” which is a god protecting Akagi mountain and which found the hot spring that works on all kinds of diseases. Every year, on the second Friday and Saturday in May, a serpent of 30 meters in length is carried by 20 or so people around the Onsen town.

Tengu portable shrine and dance of 1,000 people are held every year from the 3rd to the 5th of August. You can see close up a vibrant festival enjoyed by the young and the old. -
